you are not as small as you think

and even though

they say the world is small,

you will never see every mountain 

or smile at each passing face.

you will never feel every blade of grass

or see the sunset through 6 billion eyes.

you won't listen to every single band play

or smell fresh air from every meadow.

you can't hear everyone's favorite song

and you will not seek the mystery of every single book.

you cannot know the way the alphabet rolls off of everyone's tongue.

or smell fresh rain from every block.

So, 

my friend

when you are told the world is small, 

I assure you, 

do not fear seeing everything.
