Redfish Lake
Early morning
The kind of undisturbed serenity that is rare.
Finally,
The morning fog has cleared
And the Sawtooth's jagged jaws
Reveal themselves in the reflection before us.
Deep waters swirl beneath,
A gentle breeze ruffles our hair.
The world is awaking and we are here,
Surrounded by the sweet scent of pine
And luxurious silence.
The epitome of gentle,
Nature is endlessly forgiving.
We move as though the lake is swallowing us,
Encompassing our entirety in emerald waters,
That beg for us to remain.
