Thoughts of a Thursday

There are some things in life that will never be easy. Like leaving home, or failing a test, or losing a friendship. But of all the hard things in this world, I think the hardest will always be saying goodbye. And not just the simple ones, but the goodbyes that you know are for the best, and it seems as though in that moment, that love and goodbye are synonymous. I think that is what hurts so much, is that feeling. Knowing that you are giving up on your selfishness, your desire, and your longing to say goodbye and truly feel what it means in all of its entirety. And I think in this is the whole difference in what is love and what it isn't; is trusting that what is meant for you will find its way back to you.
